I quite like the sound of it in principle, but after looking at the trailer and seeing how poor the dialogue and acting was, I'd rather leave it.
Perhaps if someone like Gore Verbinksi had directed it, together with a bigger budget, it would have been more convincing.

Incredulous. I think that describes my current state of mind. Really, humanity, really?
Just sounds like a stupid idea. I don't even see how that would make sense calling it the longest digestive system, because well after the first person in the chain there's nothing left to digest.
One word came time mind when I read this: stupid.
There'll be no diversity if we end up burning in the Melting pot...

There seems to be an increasing velocity to the gore - an upping of the ante - since the Saw and Hostel films. I suppose mouths were going to be sewed to anuses or whatever the fuck ever sooner or later. I'm glad most people grow out of any manner of interest in these films... Shock me with moving and profound dialogue, you know? That is how I want to be shocked.

Admittedly, I didn't watch it. It still seems like thematic gore.
I'm glad people have the liberty to make and view these types of films; however, when the best answer to the question "why?" someone makes and views these films is "because I can" I can't respect their production, or the choice of the people who do view them.
For those who watched it: Why?

I think I'm the only one who's watched it. I watched it because it was free and I was too tired to do anything more productive, but not tired enough to sleep. It was mentioned here that it was a torrent now, so I just went ahead and watched it to see how dumb it was going to be. And it was pretty dumb.

I can think of a few (potential at least) exceptions, but in general I'd be hesitant to pass judgment on a film I haven't seen, though.
I'm not saying everyone has to watch everything, of course. I'm not a big fan of gore for its own sake, but I do prefer more, ehhh, outré horror films to the more formulaic teeny slasher ones.

The older I get the quicker I am to pull the judgement trigger - I've put in the work to justify it, I think. But, I of course see what you're saying: The extreme ends of anything - not just films - do seem to draw the finger-pointers out from under their respective rocks because they are the most terrified human beings alive. My concern is in that "why?": I'm sure that there are not only rational reasons, but reasons that serve an 'edifying' purpose. It would be interesting to hear some.
