Overall, I would assume that it varies from person to person. Since the essence of psychology is a interaction between nature (biology) and nurture (one's environment) so the cognitive processes is alot more profound in that respect. If porn doesn't run/consume their lives entirely, then it would be acceptable to that point in time. Yet, if it consumes one's life as the basis of what they do; the excessive release of the neurotransmitter dopamine physiologically can skew their interpretation of reality by acting as an agonist (that causes an action in one's biological response in receptor sites) rather an antagonistic response (that blocks a biological response on an individual physiologically) which is especially no different than drugs in general when taken to the extreme. Anything that becomes an addiction will always be problematic in the end. As long as a person can develop a degree of self control; I don't see the problem to that extent. When porn is used as a mechanism to relieve one's own problems in life; the habit can become pathological. Developing fetishes as with unfounded biases to something externally that arouses one as a neutral stimuli, it will inevitability consume a person's life if we can't break the pathological habit. Anything that is used in excess is detrimental to one's heath if we don't regulate ourselves in the end.

I don't think people avoid marriage because of porn. I think they embrace porn because they're avoiding marriage. I'm not sure how things are in Europe, but American divorce courts are notoriously biased against men and I'm guessing that's more of a factor in marriage a avoidance than porn.

The notion is valid because it takes away from real world interactions and distorts one's perception of the opposite sex. Marriage/relationships is a gradual balancing act in the real world. Porn is all about instant gratification and an escape into fantasy in hindsight and principle.
“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.”

80% of divorcees were initiated by wahmen in the US alone, so there's something more going on that simply because of pornography. I mean, I've read some study given by TFM(Turd Flinging Monkey) on Youtube several years ago that shows that White women are the number 1 beneficiaries in affirmative action while Black men are 2nd last after White men in the US.

The lowest birthrate in France were in 1993 and porn was way less widespread then, no internet and just VideoClub and Porn magazine. Most ppl didn't watch it by shame of buying it.
