Default European countries by well being - 2016 BCG report

    Here is the study:
    https://www.bcgperspectives.com/Imag...g-Jul-2016.pdf

    Few considerations:

    - Many Eastern European countries are closing the gap with Western Europe

    - German countries dominates the the ranking

    - Italy, Greece, Portugal and Spain have already a lower standard of living than many Eastern European countries like Slovenia, Estonia and Czechia

    - Greece has the worse living condition of the former Western block

    - With the gradual rising of Eastern standard of living, I predict that in the future there will be a shift from a West/East paradygm to a North/South situation.

Here is also the study for the previous year (2015), so we can draw some conclusion on changes in standard of living from year to year:

I wonder why many perceive Western Europe as something everybody should consider as an example of perfection, while in fact this is one chaotic madness.

As I suspected, the perceived superiority of Western Europe over Eastern Europe is just that, a matter of perception (at least when we talk about half of Easten Europe).

Estonian with 76 years of life expectancy still need many "studies" to catch up with the West

Estonia, Slovenia, and Czechia have surpassed Spain and Italy in nothing, not even after all these years of crisis. Perhaps they have reached the southern regions.

rankings are objective, in this Spain is the 8th in the world in quality of life ahead of USA, Norway, UK, Canada, Japan, etc., which does not mean it's true
