When I was born they were blue due to the lack of melanin, but otherwise they were always that kind of brown.

I had reddish blond hair as kid, now it's some kind of brown (with redish/golden undertones) not sure about the shade.
It actually became a lot darker....

Was it not light blond or even white blond at one point? How old were you in 2006 roughly?

Female hair darkens less with puberty it seems. Probably due to testosterone production. My sister was never as extreme blond as I was, never really towheaded. Just before puberty around age 8/9 I was still light blond while she had a mixed golden blond. By early adolescence we were similar and she may have even been marginally lighter haired than myself.

When I was born I had white blonde hair, but it became the color I have now pretty quickly. I was born in 1999
