UK or France: which is more left-wing overall?

One thing for sure: France has a more statist and collectivist culture than Britain, but is that necessarily left-wing per se? Even the way the two countries have enforced their lockdowns has been different - in France, people have to fill in a document called an attestation du deplacement in order to leave the house and show the police outside, whereas such a policy would be seen as very bureaucratic and intrusive in Britain.

Both quite leftist. Same like all the West/Europe/America/Latin American has increasingly become over last 200 years.

@Andullero: Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden also have retained constitutional monarchies, so does that make them more right-wing than France (and the US) too?
