I heard similar story on one TV documentary. But it was never made quite clear what really happened. It's kind of a myth. If you could write little more about it...thing that happened afterwards is that the crew received such significant amounts of radiation that they could not operate the ship any more.Some suffered from internal organs melt-down like livers, kidneys, lungs failure and others from mental disorders while their brains fried.Hence why the project was cancelled altogether.
but the experiment did take place and the ship was equipped with the necessary devices!

His identity was Serb without any doubt. Any honest Croat will never deny it. Bit his homeland was Croatia as he stated many times. Since he's I2a Dinaric south, his Vlach ancestry doesn't seem likely. For me Tesla was simply a Serb from Croatia.
