    I think they have pros and cons. They don't allow for individual expression or freedom while at the same time they offer protection against bullying, classism, inappropriate shirts, and looks-based discrimination (to some extent). I think their appropriateness and effectiveness would depend on the location and the school. I'd say I'm slightly more for than against.

    Tbh now that I think about it, I would have liked to give up personal freedom for a school uniform as I think the benefits outweigh the advantages, and I may have been bullied less. Also I would have been less self-conscious and getting ready for school would have been easier.
