I believe that this one post, more so than any other on this forum that I've read, defines in one sentence the essence of "Europeanness".

Protestantism is a rebellion against everything the West is. You're shooting yourself in the foot. You have sided with the enemies of the West.

This may be (or rather it is) a topic for its own thread, but I'd like to hear what your idea of what the "West" actually is, I mean in the spiritual and intellectual sense, rather than geographic.
