NATO ultimately wants Russia to join them and at one point Putin was seriously interested. But I think now Putin sees that he can use NATO and the West as a bogeyman for his own benefit.

I highly doubt that. I think he said that to get NATO loosened up. Really wish they did though.

War in the 21st century is very expansive.... and non of the small-euro countries can afford it on their own...

Thus NATO.

Putin is right not to trust NATO. It would be a restriction on Russia's ability to achieve its own goals. The smaller NATO nations have no actual goals on the international stage; they're irrelevant. Russia would be a secondary power under NATO answering to others. This shouldn't be seen as me approving of Russian foreign policies. It's more like me calling it as it is.

I think most people are aware of that but I would still like to see the US and Russia be on the same side one day.

For once I wish people would be objective instead of claiming something is good only because it benefited them or their own and would just as quickly claim it was horrible if the roles were reversed. My thoughts on NATO...

First of all this organization should have fallen when the Warsaw Pact fell.
NATO today seeks to control the world via military means. So one of their main targets is Russia.

I'll be honest and say NATO doesnt really care for member countries like Poland so long as it is used as a shield to defend US and UK.
What this means is if another war were to break out Eastern and Central Europe (primarely Slavs and Germans) would be dying (sound familiar?).

Europe needs to quit NATO, create its own alliance or alliances, slightly increase military budget if necessary and stop taking orders from America (the dominant figure of NATO).

In recent years its NATO members who have been the biggest warmongers on this planet. This has too stop. Why?
Innocent people are being killed, the world gets angry with certain countries like US, UK, France and us white people in general. This creates more conflict.
Additionally these wars create mass immigrants and refugees which all spill into Europe. Isnt one of the main problem in Europe mass immigration? I think so.
Several steps must be taken 1)Stop wars 2)Stop immigration 3)Gain some indepedance from Washington/New York.
