Thats not correct. 90% of the Mexican immigrants and Mexican descendants are from Western and Northern Mexico which happens to be the most Euro regions of Mexico. What you see in the East Coast are people from Southern Mexico the most amerindian region of Mexico.

Sometimes Rede Globo comes out with productions with mostly Black actors, but the actors to not play "normal people", but represent types with deep cliché and stereotypes. Look at the cast, look at their clothes, they dont look like average people but as alien.

Sexo e as Nega was another trash produced by Rede Globo to stereotype black Brazilian. The black movement here issued a boycotte campain on it.

Young people also watch it here! They are still populat. But, in recent years, theyhave been losing audience, since Brazilians are having more access to Internet or cable TV. I used to watch soap a few years ago, now I dont. Many people have been abandoning them
