Default Should Bulgarian use the Old Bulgar script?

Sort of like how the Serbian language is written in both Cyrillic and Latin alphabets, I think that the Bulgarian language should be written in both Cyrillic and the Bulgar version of the old Turkic script known as the "Kuban alphabet". Since the Bulgars are a great part of Bulgarian history I think this alphabet should be reintroduced.

The Bulgars founded Bulgaria, they are our ancestors and we should honour them by preserving at least their script.

We have another, widespread alphabet. No need to return something old and make people learn it.

Why not? Bulgars are a huge part of our history, and it's good to honour the past. It's like how the Irish brought back the Celtic Irish language, or how the Scottish brought back the Gaelic Scottish language, it's a beautiful part of Bulgarian history.

They didn't bring back anything. They used to speak it before they adopted English, and some of them continue to speak it as second langauge. Bulgar language is extinct and more importnantly, without a trace.

they spoke Irish and Scottish way more recently than you guys spoke Bulgar, and many continued to speak it even when they adopted English. Thats like saying Georgians brought back the language after the Soviet Union
