    I understand you have some form of OWD as all the Turks on the forum,but the man in question - Lutvi Mestan,just like his party leader Ahmed Dogan are of Pomak/Muslim Bulgarian origins,and not Turkish.

    He is not Pomak, he is a Balkan Turk from Thrace. Did you just pull that from your ass? Don't make me compare your exotic gypsy face with him. Classify or get the fuck out of my thread please.

    He doesn't look much average Anatolian Turk true, but he is %100 Turkish and can pass in many places in Turkey. He is not a Pomak or something else. Balkan Turks in general can have different vibes.

    He could pass as Crimean Tatar, the Turkic influence is there, which means he cannot be ethnic Bulgarian/Pomak. Modern Bulgarians, although named after an Oghur Turkic elite, have 0% Turkic admixture.

    Near East Neolithic K13 - comparison of East Eurasian admixture (which is the key component). The brown kebabs of Asia Minor are a hundred times more Turkic than Slavic-speaking pseudo-Oghurs (aka modern Bulgarians).

    The Turkish presence in Bulgaria is a result of Ottoman-period population transfers, and the Turkish presence in Anatolia is a result of Seljuk-period Oghuz migrations. It is a snowball effect, the Turks have always been a dynamic people, unlike many populations across Eurasia that have been inhabiting the same fucking region for the last 5000+ years.

    Oghuz = Proto-Turks + Chorasmia/Transoxiana
    Anatolian Turk = Oghuz + Native Anatolian
    Balkan Turk = Anatolian Turk + Native Balkanian
