He doesn't look much average Anatolian Turk true, but he is %100 Turkish and can pass in many places in Turkey. He is not a Pomak or something else. Balkan Turks in general can have different vibes.

He could pass as Crimean Tatar, the Turkic influence is there, which means he cannot be ethnic Bulgarian/Pomak. Modern Bulgarians, although named after an Oghur Turkic elite, have 0% Turkic admixture.

The Turkish presence in Bulgaria is a result of Ottoman-period population transfers, and the Turkish presence in Anatolia is a result of Seljuk-period Oghuz migrations. It is a snowball effect, the Turks have always been a dynamic people, unlike many populations across Eurasia that have been inhabiting the same fucking region for the last 5000+ years.
