Zimbabwe's (Rhodesia) president Robert Mugabe, 90, fell down steps from a podium after speaking to supporters upon his return from Ethiopia, say witnesses.

Marxist and British hater Mugabe appeared to miss a step and toppled when he left the raised lectern at the airport on Wednesday afternoon, according to several witnesses, who insisted on anonymity because of security concerns. His aides quickly helped him up and escorted him to his limousine which sped away, they said. Sadly we have to say the old Marxist didn't injure himself enough to release the people of Zimbabwe from his dictatorship, one that has destroyed the nation's ability to feed itself.

Yes anti-British Mugabe survived the fall and will be still able to count on the very country he despises to send him £100 million in Foreign Aid. Last year Mugabe spent $17.9 million (£11.8 million) on foreign travel – and absolutely nothing on capital assets for primary and secondary schools, an oversight that was probably unique in the world. He did, however, blow $850,000 (£560,000) on “fixed capital assets” for “state residences” (i.e. his palaces). The burden of equipping schools was left entirely to foreign donors.
