In France, ethnic statistics are forbidden.

But they left a flaw in their system: drepanocytosis is a genetic illness that only affects Blacks.

Today, a map showing the "risk population" for drepanocytosis has been published: thus, the "Black population".

This is the first time ever that we have such ethnic statistics in France.

Doesn't that include North Africans also? Cause its present in non-Negroids too if I'm right. I think that would make more sense if putting Negrids and non-Negrid Africans together in the statistics, otherwise it seems to be too high still?

Its related to the endemic Malaria and spread even in populations with close to zero Negroid influences by the force of natural selection.

So I guess they included Algerians and Near Easterners.

Still its bad enough, since its definitely about non-Europeans primarily, but not necessarily black, especially not fully black - mixed ones for sure too.

But more informations could enlighten us in this question.

Yeah, probably was 'Africans' in the original French and got translated as 'black'. Also in Britain sometimes they refer to muslims such as Pakistanis as 'black'
