Oh wow, excuse them for teaching children to be normal and productive members of society and not racists, autists and social outcasts of all types that do school shootings and become jail bait.
Terrible schools.

I actually write from leftist perspectives for my classes to get good grades. Gotta play into the system in order to topple it.

Dunno. We don't talk about that in school. Students talk about it between themselves, but it was never part of our curriculum.
I don't have any problem with homosexuals. My family was never too critical of them (only of their parades) so even without school to say that to me, I don't 'hate' them. They can do their own thing, I will do my thing. What school says wouldn't bother me because I already have my opinion.

When I was in school (I left 10 years ago) we didn't talk about these things. Religious teaching has never been compulsory as it was just optional however nobody ever took these options.
My history teachers consciously avoided a number of touchy subjects which were forbidden to be taught by the ministry of education. (It might have changed now, I wouldn't know)
Racial slurs were honestly scarce. Nobody knew what a transgender was. Homophobic slurs were common until we were 13-14, then people somehow grew up and we behaved more or less like young adults.
Although I'm not sure, there are lectures called "man & society" which is supposed to be a ridiculous leftist propaganda. However most of the parents and even the kids don't buy it. Recently the socialists were kicked out of the government and the country is back on its way to normalization. One of the reforms in the education system they are planning to apply is to reintroduce a number of "patriotic" lectures at school starting from September 2015 which is good imo, at least so far, because nobody knows what will precisely contain these new textbooks.

I actually went to one of the top private schools in Canada. It was also considered the most expensive private school in Canada during the mid 2010's. But I also went to public school for a short while. My parents switched me after they became frustrated with the curriculum. Although they didn't like the idea of private school I think they realised what a dump TDSB schools are and that it was worth the money.
However, the only difference was the class makeup (no blacks, no browns, few East Asians), easier to get good grades, and better life long connections. Also private schools aren't as expensive in Canada as they are in the US.
It was a Christian school so I wasn't fed liberal dogma for all those years. We were taught that we were the saviours of the North American continent by displacing all the heathen savages lel.
