Turbans in Turkey?

Fez was introduced in the Ottoman Empire to replace turbans, which was actually a part of the modernization/westernization drive at that time and was opposed by religious Muslims who even blamed the Sultan for being infidel. Later, Ataturk banned both of them and introduced modern Western hat, and now some anti-republican clowns like Kadir Misiroglu appear on videos wearing fez as a supposed reaction to Ataturk or something. Miserable.

Lungees are standard dress among rural Pashtun people though. Like, not only imams wear them in Afghanistan. Why don't more Muslims do it? Why only imams? It's sunnah

No the the fez is not part of our culture it was imported form Greece and was adopted by North Africans. The agal is the Neo turban according to legend it was created by Caliph Omar. That is the Neo turban mostly seen on Bedouin males including the Christians among us. Later other groups adopted it.

Muslims in general don't wear turbans. NOWADAYS in Turkey a turban would definitely look out of place. The Ottoman Empire though was heavily Arabized/Persianized and as such the turban made its way into Muslim dominions.

Cucks to bann a integral fashion of your own culture and force a western hat on your population.

How can people respect Mustafa Kemal if he was a man ashamed of his culture and religion.
