In British English (European English,) a 'wog' is a highly offensive word to say to black people (a short version of 'golliwog'.... which is a banned black doll in the UK.) It's also considered offensive to call a black person as a 'golliwog'. If a white person calls a black person as a 'n*gger' or a 'w*g', they could be prosecuted for it. It's a derogatory slang term for a non white person, but historically in British English, a 'wog' referred to people from South Asia, before British people used it as a derogatory term for black people.
Australian English is different to European English. A 'wog' means a southern European on the other side of the planet in Australia, but I'm European so I was taught England's (European) English, rather than Australian English.
