One can be a fully introverted neurotypical. Someone might understand social rules but opt out of them. As far as I understand, autism just affects your cognition on how you sort your ideas and how you sense the world, not the degree of extroversion. In autism introversion is more like a side-effect due to being perceived as awkward.

I've yet to meet an extroverted autist though.

Unaware socially. More robotic, even in the way they talk. Doesn't understand humour well.

    Übermensch has it.

There are people who use it too much as an insult on this forum.

Most people confuse "Autism" with mental retardation (Down Syndrome). This is a false comparison.

Autism is a psychopathic illness/defect, representing a lack of empathy between people. An autist "lives inside his/her own head". In philosophy, this is also known as "Solipsism". An autist lacks the imagination or motivation to want to understand another person. An autist creates an internal dream-world inside his/her head and disallows others to communicate.

Autism is caused by many factors, both biological and sociological (cultural). Technology, internet, cellphones all can contribute to the illness of autism, by discouraging real eye-to-eye social interaction. People chat with their cellphones instead of other people, right next to them. This causes a social estrangement and many other sociopathic delusions.

In the US there is also the consumeristic, commercial culture. Commercials blast people's senses 24-7, all the time. People are instructed, convinced, manipulated, and harassed to buy Product X, Y, and Z. Buy shit you don't need. Buy this. Buy that. Have a $500000 debt. Buy everything! Commercials are everywhere. This is "Capitalist" culture; many people call this degenerative. It destroys society, by alienating people apart. Everybody becomes "individuals" and tries to stand-out, act different, think different, be different… even when people are not. People are sold on lies.

Autism is a reaction to consumerist-commercialism, because the average Western person has to 'ignore' everything. Commercialism forces average people to close your eyes and close your ears. This advances the rate of autism in everybody. Because instead of using your senses, you are forced to learn to ignore things. Ignorance is not bliss, in consumerist-commercialism (capitalism).

The average US person has learned to block-out bullshit. But many other cultures are not, and have not learned the valuable lesson. Some degree of autism is good, to combat and ignore consumerist-commercialism.

You don't want to listen to somebody convincing you to buy shit, everyday, yes?

US and some Western people are "anti-socialist". Socialism can be a good thing. People should work together, live together, enjoy each other's company. This is difficult in a capitalist, consumer-commercial, individualistic, anti-social, estranged environment (anti-culture). So autism is the result.

It's a spectrum, ranging from low-functioning (or mentally retarded people), through Classic autism (borderline mental retardation), & to Asperger's or High-Functioning Autism (still problems with social retardation, but also difficulty with emotions & body language, communication, restricted interests, & repetitive behavior.

I'm on the spectrum (I have Asperger's), when I was a kid, I was more classic autistic, but I also had a learning disability, as I grew older, It evolved more into Asperger's, my Spaniard (actually a Spaniard Mexican, of mixed Northern European & Mediterranean ancestry, with a little bit Amerindian) grandfather had ADHD, Asperger's, & some other disorders, & my father has it too, but my mother has Depression, PTSD, OCD, & maybe a Learning Disability.

    Basically it's a mixture of genetics & environment, it's a neurological disorder.

Many HFA's or Aspie's can also have mild mental disorders, or even Bipolar or Schizoaffective disorder, due to the genetics & environment of the family & person.

Those, who been here since 2015 or before, probably can relate to my early posts here, especially before the forum shutdown, & the DNA tests I made, & becoming more of a anthropologist.

Being of mixed heritage can also be a factor, the combination of developmental disabilities (especially Asperger's) with non-European ancestry, can be a difficult thing especially for western & mixed regions (such as the Americas, Oceania, Siberia, Central Asia, South Africa, Namibia, & Europe, & maybe parts of West Asia & North Africa).

Is there a correlation between autism and the over-obsession with genetics?

Very likely, as many of us are obsessed with sciences (especially Human Biology, which includes Anthropology & Genetics).
