Well back then people once valued virginity. It was seen as a form of purity of the spirit. We in the west have lost that spirit because we have embraced the 1960s sexual revolution way of thinking. We get upset with the muslims for not being as 'progressive' as us in the contemporary western world.

Its no problem to me when they point out the problem in my society. I see it as much as they do. I do agree with you that many of them are not much different than us in that respect. However I do not need to embrace that religion to change.

I have my religion which teaches the same thing. Me and the Muslim could both agree that yes fornication before marriage is a sin.

Do I think 9,000 lashes will help the situation? No.

This is a post modern cultural problems created by cultural Marxists of the 1960s. Did these issues exist before that? Sure but not in the numbers they do today. Today it is considered normal to have children out of wedlock.

A muslim I know in person once told me he was shocked at how un Christian we have become. He is an older fellar so he knows all to well of the post modernist 1960s hippy culture and how that culture had a tremendous impact in ruining traditional America and the west. He doesn't blame Christianity for it he blames the root of the problem.

Catholicism is similar. France was better under that religion and a monarchy.

I still think that I do fine for someone who learnt English as a foreign language in school. I can bring my points across, do I? Tbh, I believe that I use a better English with a more proper grammar than many English/US-American natives on the Internet...

I don't hate all muslims, but many muslims have a typical "Islam is the truth, we're better than everyone else" attitude.

That's common to all religions, they all think they are the truth, not only Muslims.

Well in some pagan cultures they might have. I wouldn't say all. Pagan societies were not all well developed. The more civilized societies tended to not practice that behavior.

It isn't to say that in a thousand years what ever religions of the future may not look back and say 'You know those Abrahamist followers were rather savage in behavior and practiced rather odd religions'.

during pagan europe, the continent was in chaos. it was hell on earth ... people were barbarians, practiced human sacrifice and cannibalism. When Christianity came, things started getting slightly better since it is slightly closer to the true religion. people stopped all that crazy stuff and slowly became civilized (after middle ages). now of course, there are some exceptions such as Ancient Greece and Rome. but for the most part, Europe was backwards.
