    Does anybody have an idea of the origin of the surname Noffz? My 2x great-grandmother was a Noffz from Pommern. It sounds like it might be Slavic, but the guy mentioned in the OP is I-Z59, a Germanic or Celtic haplogroup.

    If it is slavic, then is too much germanized to say anything sure.
    You would have to dig to the oldest bearer, maybe it would be more clear.
