it was just a example that you arent neccesarily correct or unbiased. and that you need to be right and i wrong. you made a hominem argument because you said because of my person i cant have a opinion or be more right then you. and i know lots of bosniaks and most bosniaks think that a bosniak is a muslim. in practice its like that but you guys are in a nation building process which is not finished yet so it might change to what you want. i dont want to make bosniaks look smaller by saying they are only muslims, but historically its tied to islam.

Are Bosniaks different than Bosnians?

Having an oppinion is one thing. Refusing an answer based on your prejudice is another thing. Its neither historicaly tied to Islam, nor is it today:
King of Bosnia and a Catholic Bosniak"[...] Equally, I am begging you; [...] If Bosniaks would know that they will not be alone in this war, braver they shall struggle, and neither the Turks would have the courage to attack on my lands...; My father predicted to your predecessor, Nicholas V, and the Venetians the fall of Constantinople. He was not believed. [...] Now I prophesy about myself. If you trust and aid me I shall be saved; if not, I shall perish and many will be ruined with me."
- Excerpts from Stephen Tomašević's letter to Pope Pius II
A Catholic Friar and a Bosniak“ We Bosniaks, the once-famous people, now that we are barely alive, our friends of science see us as head detached from the Slavic tree and pity us ... It is time to awake from a long lasting negligence; give us the cup, and from well of apprehension, inexhaustibly gain knowledge, wisdom; firstly let us try to cleanse our hearts from prejudice, reach for books and magazines, let's see what the others did, so that we can use the same means, that our nation of simple people from the darkness of ignorance to the light of truth we bring. ”
—Ivan Frano Jukić, excerpt from his work[1]
A Friar, Catholic and a Bosniak.Fra Antun Knežević was one of the main protagonists of Bosniak nationhood, and he fiercely advocated against imminent Croatization of Bosnian Catholics on one side, as well as imminent Serbianization of Bosnian Orthodox people on the other, as he called it in his work. His position and doctrine was that all the Bosnians are one people of three faiths, and that up to late 19th century, no Croats and Serbs lived in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Zeljko Milicevic, a Catholic BosniakOdselili smo u Hrvatsku, pošto smo bili pohrvaćeni Bošnjaci i imali tu, neku drugu, rezervnu domovinu.
Ivana Mostarac, a Bosniak Catholic.

Bosniaks since Kulin Ban untill today are tied to heresy and refusal of oppressive faiths like it was the case with Catholicism and Orthodoxy. Also we say we are Muslim so you don't get to start with your Yugo BS. A Bosniak can eat pork, drink a lot, slur, be the opposite of what a Muslim should do or behave, as long as he defends Bosnian land, its sovereignty, the mosques and freedom of worship he will still be seen as a Bosniak.
On the other side, imagine you have "the most perfect Muslim" who has power, imagine he calls for fusion of Bosnia with Serbia or Croatia, let say "the pork eater alcoholic Bosniak" decide to assassinate him and dies doing it. That bad Muslim will have thousands of Bosniaks going to his funerals despite his way of life, the imam will ask people :"shall we forgive him", you'd have a big crowd saying "Forgiven".

Majority of Bosniaks see Turkey as an advanced and strong nation, we are friendly since we lived in a same Empire for 400 years so we are linked to a common past, at least for a part of it. Turkey has many ennemies and we support her against all of them. And you also support us, just for exemple last year when there were floods, union of Turkish furnitures producers sent 100 lorries to Bosnia, other initiatives were also done.
