Russia lead the pwning of two of the most (historically) hostile Germanic countries to slavdom, Sweden and Germany.
The Borreby is strong in them.

Who cares?
Uhm, I don't see a 'versus' situation between Germanics and Slavs. Ancient Germanics and acient Slavs actually acted in a similar fashion, shared a similar culture and similar heathen religions. Don't forget that 'Russia' is named after a Germanic tribe, the 'Russ' Vikings who wandered to the east and founded a Waräger nation-like entity. Sometimes I think that the old Northern Slavs were just a wilder version of the old Germanics with a different language.
And I don't want or support a conflict between Russians and Germans. 20th century was a sorry century and a very unfortunate one. We had Nationalsocialism, and the Russians had Communism/Bolschewism.
I think that deep in our core Germans and Russians have much in common, and there were lengthy periods of peace and friendship in our history. Just think of Katharina The Great, a German queen of Russia, or the Zar families who had strong ties with Germany. And Lenin was brought by Germany into Russia in 1917 - by train.
My sympathy and respect for Russia is strong and it's not the first time that I mention it here. When I talk negative about the negative effects and deeds of Sovjetunion, I don't talk about the normal Russian citizen.

"Russia" - this is greek version of the "Rus". Your version of the origin of Rus is Normanism version. Also there is Antinormanism version according to which, Rus - Baltic Slavs. Moreover, anthropology and genetics of the Russians and Germanic peoples - significantly different.
