What's up with people in The New World referring to anyone non-white as ''ethnic'', it really confused me when I first heard it. As far as I'm concerned the only people ethnic to the area would be Native Americans.

If anything people like Aframs and other mixed ''people of colour''(another weird umbrella term) are as little ''ethnic'' as you can get. They're mixed and not truly, completely native to anywhere, from a nativist perspective.
