Video game music is any of the musical pieces or soundtracks found in video games. It can range from a primitive synthesizer tune to an orchestral piece, usually such that the older the game, the simpler the music. In recent times, many games have had complex soundtracks similar to those of movies. It is also much more common for video game soundtracks to be commercially sold or even be performed in concerts that focus on video game music.

The score to Assassin's Creed II was composed by Jesper Kyd. It was recorded at Capitol Records with a 35-piece string ensemble and a 13-person choir, and featured vocals by Melissa Kaplan.

The Hitman: Blood Money Original Soundtrack, composed by Jesper Kyd, was released on May 20, 2006 by Sumthing Else and Eidos. The score was performed jointly with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and the Hungarian Radio Choir. It features Kyd's trademark ambience and dark, foreboding arrangements with the choral parts in deep brooding Latin.

I haven't played video games since I was a teen (I'm 31). Surely there is much greater music nowadays, BUT I used to love the music to the following original nintendo games:

1. All Ninja Gaiden games. (the songs on NG II would stick with me all day)
2. All Castevania games.
3. All Megaman games.
