I see nothing Italian in the central painting...

Representative of Italians could be these but i'm pretty sure there are plenty of others that could fit:

    Spoiler!

The only that "could" represent Italians is that pompeii fresco (penultimate, starting from left), even though i don't see why a fresco depicting the Greek myth of Aeneas could represent Italians. An Etruscan one would have been better at this point. Btw, no Romans... one of the greatest civilizations of Europe should have had a place in the banner imo.

On the other side we have at least two Germanic. Others are Irish, Spanish/Jews, Greek mythology and... French? I'm still figuring out what is the second one from left (with two women).

Look, the banner was created to look aesthetically pleasing to the eye, showing European themes... it wasn't designed to cater for every ethnic group or nation in Europe. That wasn't the goal. I see nothing wrong whatsoever with it, and make no excuses for it not containing Italian or Roman or whatever elements.

Don't worry I don't care but as I said to another user there is no Italian element in that banner, you quoted me claiming there was some sort of it in the central pic so I replied to you in order to correct you.
Excuses? This thread asks for people feedback so I'm free to give my opinion about the logo.

The two women on the left are actually taken from a beautiful Roman mural found in the "Villa dei Misteri" of Pompeii. The soldier wielding a spear on the right was Greek, I believe, but might have been Roman. I honestly can't remember anymore. As Loki explained, they (I also made our Facebook banner) were meant to look appealing, not represent every nation in Europe.
    Spoiler!

Thx for the info about the two women, indeed the style resemble the frescoes in Pompeii. The soldier with spear is Aeneas with his son always from a Pompeii fresco.
