the look may change a lot in the various zones of Sardinia, generally in the south they are darker than in central or north Sardinia, expecially in the extreme south west of Sardinia there is a lot of olive skinned people, while in the other areas they are quite rare, perhaps your roommate it's from the southern provinces and you met a lot of Sardinians from those provinces

Well the Algheresi would look more Catalan and the Northerners are Corsican but Sardinians proper are pretty dark.

Corsicans are only in the extreme north east (Gallura), and Alghero it's only a town surrounded by Sardinian speaking areas, the proper Sardinians are usually light skinned and brown or black haired, in central areas can be found also natural blond or red haired, and it's very common to find people with light blue or green eyes

for example : some people from Desulo, a village on the mountains of Barbagia, in central Sardinia, I think they are proper Sardinians, this is the most frequent look also in the zone where I live (central-north west Sardinia)

Those aren't really light people, plus data shows Sardinians are darker. Again, my roommate agrees. Certainly light eyes are very rare...

    Colore occhi Maschi Femmine
    Celesti 4,24% 3,78%
    Grigi 5,37% 4,83%
    Verdi 6,27% 6,03%
    Castani 75,26% 75,67%
    Neri 8,83% 9,66%
    Esaminati 15.250 15.167

He's going to use the logic that Sardinians have the most neolithic DNA, despite most Sardinians being light skinned and anyone that studies Genetics or History knows that Neolithic Farmers were light skinned lmfao
