    Sardinians are probably the darkest, Calabria possibly in 2nd place. Abruzzese are Central Italians

    Ah ok. I think the Greeks who look like southern Italians are southern Peloponnese (Lakonia area), Cretans, Aegean islanders and Cypriots. But that's just my view.

    Greece has only 11 millions of inhabitants, just Sicily and Campania together have around the same

    I know. But my point is I do not think people from places like Epirus on the Albanian border, or Macedonia are going to look much like southern Italians.

    Well, it depends, I think its ok for me to say that Ligurians look less Greek than Abruzzese, but to single out 1 region and say with confidence that this region is the most greek would be pretty iffy. The problem with not having been to each of the regions is that it can be very anecdotal. Knowing a couple of people isn't usually a good representation of an entire region. The problem with is that even most Italians probably haven't had long enough of a visit with Italians of all the different regions.
