Where in the USA would you prefer most to live?

From a different perspective of being a near retiree, Delaware will be our new home in short order. Geography is the same low coastal flatland with pines and sandy beaches as South Jersey where we are now, but the tax load will be about 1/10th of New Jersey. SoCal would be good for me in many ways with my interest and activities if money wasn't am issue but I don't care for the Cali political climate one bit. There's many beautiful places with their own attraction in this country and I've seen a lot in my time but coastal Mid-Atlantic to coastal South still appeals to me the most. North or South Carolina along the ocean would be nice too.

I have no qualms about living in the upper Midwest, but I'd have to say Maine.

I'd like to go to a classic place but not a very concervative one where people would discriminate me for coming from a South American country (even though Im white), so I don't know maybe northern California?

By the way I lived in NYC for 3 months and I didn't like it. A huge mix of things and I wasn't sure where I belonged to. People were too stressed out and busy all the time.

I'd love to live in the Bronx when it was the "German" area of New York before 1960 or so. Now it's a shit hole, of course and the most dangerous part of New York after the Germans moved out. I love urban places and big cities, but nowadays they tend to attract the worst of society. I wouldn't mind one of the rich white areas of Manhattan but there's too many Jews and Italians and it's way too expensive.

Minnesota, eastern North Dakota, New Hampshire, Vermont, most likely Minneapolis suburbs. I still wouldn't move to the US though. There's really no northern European only areas in the US anymore though, the Irish and Italians really moved everywhere. Utah isn't bad either, lots of English there, but fuck deserts.

North Dakota has the lowest number of school suspensions in the US(although I'm not in school anymore but I still care).

If I could only pick a big city, I'd go with Seattle or Minneapolis.
