Like many English people, I support a United Ireland - but I don't support the IRA (PIRA - Provisional IRA - nor the Real IRA) and their use of violence and bombings of civilians in towns and cities all over England and NI.

I understand the Irish Republicans anger and struggles, and I know that many atrocities have also been committed towards the Irish people by the British for centuries, but I wish for a peaceful referendum to be given to the people living in the six counties for reunification with Ireland.

British imperialism is mostly only supported by the British ruling elites.

A protest song that was made after two children were murdered in England in an IRA terrorist attack bombing.

Since 1970, there have been at least 3,395 terrorist-related deaths in the UK, the highest in western Europe.

The vast majority of the deaths were linked to the Northern Ireland conflict and happened in Northern Ireland.

Between 1971 and 2001, there were 430 terrorist-related deaths in Great Britain. Of these, 125 deaths were linked to the Northern Ireland conflict, and 305 deaths were linked to other causes.

IRA bombs in towns and cities all over England and Northern Ireland were frequent for many decades. 8 IRA bombs exploded in my original hometown on the south-west coast during a government conference held in the town, and London was also bombed many times that caused buildings to shake some distance from the explosions.

(Of course, the British are far from innocent and have massacred millions worldwide - so there's no smoke without fire.)

The song calls for an end to so many decades of violence and bombings between the Republicans and Loyalists and calls for a peaceful solution.



Rest in peace to the singer Dolores O'Riordan - one of my favourite Irish singers.
