Why women prefer brunette guys?

I don't think that's necessary always true, but I'm also usually attracted to women who kinda looks like me (light brown/dark blonde hair, fair skin, long legs, etc).

Maybe not in short term dating, but in serious relationship people usually want person of their own race/sub race, like many white men have fetish for east asian women, but i hardly doubt many of these men would marry them or have children with them.

Here it's mostly the opposite, I've heard dark-haired guys of foreign ancestry say that here Sweden you have to be tall and blonde to get a Swedish girl. Otherwise it's very hard, if you don't belong to the very top of your own type.

This may have something to do with people (consciously or unconsciously) want their descendents to look like them. I'm not a racist or a racialist, and I don't wanna sound like a terrible person, but this could be a trick that evolution plays on us to make we love our children more.

It's alright, myself i'm not really attracted to black women for example at all (not saying they are ugly, but i just don't have any attraction to them) so it would be hypocritical to hate girls who wouldn't want to date dark guy like me. Sami girls usually are attracted to Sami guys, but the problem is that the amount of Sami women and women with Sami admixture is very small, like in maybe 10 000 people in finnish lapland and it's already hard for guy to get girl, but with these numbers it's close to impossible and i'm not very social anyway neither.

The phrase definitely comes from Western literature, so it does make sense that the phrase is unknown to you, a Russian.

I'ts a fact that between a blonde native and a brunette non native most of women will choose the first one. The question is why women prefer brunette natives? That's my perception, but I can be wrong.

Not all women, mainly blondies do. The word I heard is because the dark hair guys look more masculine and more mature, less boyish. The thing with the dark eyes is they say it looks mysterious and mysteries drives women nuts. This only works if the guys is caucasian looking and has a fair complexion. It is not the same as being brown skinned. Of course the effect of the dark hair/eyes only works if they find your face/body attractive to begin with.
