Very few people are S116. They will be a subclade under this. Even something like L21 is very broad and has a lot of other subclades under it. My brother is tested at FTDNA and he is M222 but S588 well down on the M222 tree and that is most likely not his terminal snp. I'll most likely have to get him to test with yseq as FTDNA don't test further than S588 at the moment.

Maybe i will check out FTDNA. I was hoping 23andme could update their Y-DNA testing. Or maybe even their mt DNA, now i'm even wondering if i am anything more than J1c1.

I'm J1c3 at 23andMe but have had the FMS done at FTDNA which confirmed that I'm J1c3f and my 1 step matches are to Norway and the Russian Federation.

The table is not incorrect. There is S116* and downstream S116-DF27+. DF27+ is the most common in Iberia. 23andme does not test it. You're likely DF27+.

I doubt they left almost any genetic input in spain. Like someone else said spain is celtic-iberian.

Suebi definitely left a genetic impact in Galicia and probably Portugal too. I’ve seen galicians matching with Germans from Bavaria/Swabia

Visigothic impact is indeed strongest in western Iberia. Galicia and Portugal have more Germanic admixture than other parts of Iberian peninsula (some of it is Suebi though)
