then self-defense is not logical right?
and i never said white equates to racism, did i? and you seem emotionally hurt if you need to jump in to defend them, but you hide it behind words

All right, King Kong, if you wish to go on this route, that's perfectly fine. I'm not hurt, but I am getting angry that you would accuse me of hiding anything. Self- defense is one thing, accusing somebody of being a racist because he simply points out cultural influences in one religion that don't exist in two others is something entirely different. Your snarky little " because I'm anti- racist, I must be anti- white, right?" says a lot more about you than it does about him. I'd be defending you too if I thought somebody was jumping down your throat because of an innocent comment you made that he or she took the wrong way. Now, neither one of us started this thread and neither one of us have the right to hijack it, so returning to the point of this very interesting thread, I would say that religions that are more focused on ethics than the " supernatural" are more logical.

ok it seems there is a misunderstanding, to me he said that whites are smarter then others, and to me thats white supremacism (superior white race) and that others cant be as logical/smart/great thinkers as whites. he brought in the race into this religion discussion, but to you it was innocent comment, we read it differently. i dont want to fight with you though. now you know why i said that and i didnt wanted to jump on his throat or to equate white with racism.

Shazou, I'm sorry. This thread is supposed to be about logical religions and I'm engaged in an argument with someone who got pissed that I would say something in defense of somebody who said something quite innocent and got jumped on for it. The argument's done.

Stoicism is a very logical religion that has roots that go back to ancient Greece. It's about emotional control and personal harmony with nature: http://www.philosophyforlife.org/phi...r-life/stoics/

It's not actually a religion. However, stoicism is very fine - unfortunately, sometimes difficult to follow.

Christianity, as a religion, is quite fine either. As long as it shows some ways of living. But Christians forget about Jesus' (and some apostles) teachings. They, very often, do not respect others, misbehave, insult, judge other people. By this they act like the pharisees, and I think we all know, how Jesus "liked" them.

True. Jesus spent an inordinate amount of his time saying that those people killed the spirit of the Law while adding pedantic details to it and that they'd wind up separated from God while the people they considered " lesser" would feast with God in the Kingdom. Christianity has fine moral teachings and many metaphors that show how nature provides for people and how people should be genuine instead of hypocritical with each other. To assuage any readers who think that I'm talking about them, this is a general statement.

I too go with budism. I'm not Buddhist yet but I might become one. Buddism isn't about a god so you could be agnostic or athiest and still follow. Godly religions are all illogical and teach you to condem to each other even for things that are in noones control .

Buddhism does have a lot going for it. the idea of impermanence, the ideal that we're comprised of different elements that coalesce into a single individual that dissolve again at death, the moral boomerang of karma.. it does certainly have logical cause and effect and is definitely worthy of study.
