Much has been made (and, imo, exaggerated) about how some North Africans, Middle Easterners, mixed-race Latin Americans and occasionally even South Asians either want to be White/European or even think they are. However, the possibility that variations of this among East Asians exist too have been really overlooked. I propose that two versions of OWD exist among some East Asians:
(1) SE Asians who think they look the same as NE Asians.
(2) At least as prevalent if not perhaps more so, Japanese and Koreans in particular who perceive themselves as closer to Westerners than to other Asians and even want to be part of the 'White mainstream'.
