In my entire life I never experienced such an anomalous heat. Today it reached the level of Sahara desert. Just two hours ago here was an strong thunderstorm who lasted aprox. 40 min with strong winds and heavy rain. The ground and the air was so hot today what this rain barely affected the temperature. I went outside after the rain, and it felt like I was in a sauna due to the mixture of humidity and warm air.

Unconfortable heat has now reached the iberian peninsula as well. It has been very hot in the Lisbon region with highs above 30ºC (our summer had been very mild until now). We had forest fires in the country yesterday too.

During the hate waves it is big chance for epic thunderstorms. Here this evening it was strong wind, thunders and rain. We were without eletricity about 2 hours. Luckily there was no much rain and no damage of wind as in the similar thunderstorms during the hate waves earlier this summer and in previous several summers
