Sweet of course, but not very sweet. I just don’t like the most ripe and sweet apricots, so I choose just such slightly unripe ones. And for example my wife on the contrary, loves the most ripe and even slightly softened apricots which I hate.

My today's simple and humble homemade lunch. For dessert, cherries of the so-called sort "шпанка", it has a very rich sour-sweet taste.

My today's second simple and humble homemade lunch.

Pay attention to the main course. Today this is a very special case. It is a huge portion of a very special Armenian dish called "tolma". The taste of this dish is so unique and it is so much unlike anything else that I can neither explain it nor convey. Also add the special sauce to it, prepared from Armenian matsun and various spices and garlic. In short, the taste buds in your mouth are groaning and being exhausted with pleasure when you eat it.

We cooked a huge amount of tolma yesterday, so today my lunch is very similar to yesterday's one, but you will never get tired of tolma.

My muscles are crazy sore from doing burpees, kettlebell exercises, pushups and running I'm going to eat some roasted chicken now. When your muscles are sore protein is good for them to heal.

My today's second simple and humble homemade lunch. Please note that in the main dish we have tolma not only with grape leaves but also with cabbage.

the old style varieties of fruits and veg that have been pushed far far to the side or even eliminated in north america's industrial food distribution are so much better. i like a few things about north american food selection, but people in america really shouldn't think they are eating "better" than so so many people in countries they think much less of. especially the average, barely culinarily cultured person. very sad stuff.

i'm trying to build up a garden of the hard to find things, but its in its infancy now.

i can see in the word and the picture it is best known as "dolma" or dolmades from greek or SE european food. the grape leaf flavour is unique in my experience, i love eating a well made one.

    pickled pepper with it?
