Shocked by how many people genuinely put Palestinian - the answer in my mind is probably Syrian Jews.

There is some Italic ancestry in them, likely a back-migration from European Jews.

Israel is a tribe. A tribal head, from which 12 tribes descend. What was Jacob's yDNA haplogroup?
Who knows.

Yehudi and Israelite are not synonymous, but both refer to a tribe.

"Jewish admix" is something else that may or may not refer to an Israelite or Yehudi tribal origin. Those who identify as Jews today are remnants of the Kingdom of Judah only (a national identity consisting of 3.5 tribes of Israel), and it does not include (or even take into consideration) the Kingdom of Israel (another national identity, consisting of the rest of the Israelite tribes) at all. The Kingdom of Judah, was comprised only of tribes Judah, Simeon, Benjamin, and a portion of Levi (3.5). That's it. The other tribes, the "Lost Tribes" were separated from each other and placed in various locations by the Assyrian Empire. See Isaiah 11:11 for details on where they are today.

You will not find the "purest Israelites" amongst Jews at all since they have been scattered to the "four corners of the earth" and have picked up every admix along the way. You'll find it amongst the Lost Tribes, because they remained in their place, and they remained tribal until today, thanks to two preservatives: 1.) Middle Eastern culture, and 2.) Islamic religion.

There is that (some Sephardic influence), but I think it's more likely that this perceived Italian ancestry is actually originally Middle Eastern

Definitely not me lol.
I score only 16-18% Levantine in most tests lol. JEW=ISRAELITE?. In some tests I'm actually as amazigh as I am middle eastern (but I usually score a bit less Amazigh)
I think I read once that caucasus mizrahi jews are most Israelite subgroup of jews but I have no Idea if I remember correctly.
Generally speaking aren't Samaritans the purest descendants of the ancient Israelites?
