But I watched a YT video where several Mexican-Americans said that they have better success with White American women when they lie about their ethnicity and claim being Spanish, from Europe (instead of Mexican). So it's not about looks/phenotype, because these particular Mexicans can pass as Spanish (if they couldn't pass as Spanish then that "trick" that they described obviously wouldn't work).

Why do you dislike the word "racism" so much ???

Let's call it "ethnocentric", if you don't like "racist".

We can call it as we want, but data shows that race/ethnicity matters less for men.

I've already explained why the term doesn't apply. Racism is societally-sanctioned denial of a person's human rights on the basis of something they have no control over (skin color or race). To be racist is to think your own race is superior and to wish harm on non-similar others. This is the history of Racism in the United States. Sooooo, no, I hate the use of that term and feel it does not apply in this situation.

When someone says for example that they like brunette women more than blonde women, then this is a preference. But when they say that they would never date a blonde woman, then this is not a preference but rather orientation (just like straight people would never date a person of the same sex). So "racial preferences for dates" was not the right term. It should be called "racial orientations for dates".

I guess that a higher % of men have racial preferences. They just don't have racial orientation.
