Yes, yes and for the third time yes...
I love such a modern and minimalistic together with functionality style.
I could live in a flat made of blank, white wall with furnitures made of glass and aluminium.

I like the inside (and of course the view), but the deck sort of looks like a dust pan Is there a practical reasons for the walls around the sides of the deck?

No. Design is nice, yet the functionalism is missing. Where is the sauna ?

Precisely what I was wondering too:

Since after all, as we all know a summer house without a sauna is not a summer house at all. It must be in a separate building, perhaps closer to the sea?

I'm guessing that place, by the sea but quite high on a rock, must be pretty windy. But you're right it is a bit unusual for the sake of being unusual, which is never a good thing. At least the surroundings are left completely untouched.

I dislike most modern type buildings, but this one is nice. Im going to assume the walls are to shelter people from the wind if it picks up, and helps keep that fire going. It does not stand out too much in its natural surroundings either.

I don't like it one bit.
It looks like a loading dock for big trucks.
It has the feel of existentialism.

I do not like the way the same finishes are applied to the vertical and horizontal planes.

I love trim and this cabin has none.

I hate cubes they do not feel natural to me.

Probably to cut off the prevailing winds and retain heat or focus the thermal activity towards the core of the building is my guess.

As for the design itself: It seems to me to be a modern-day lean-to, you know the basic shelter most people learn about making in the Scout movement or in basic outdoor survival training. Instead of it being a big tarp, it's a wooden structure with a scooped out feature where it would appear is meant to be the main living area. It really seems to address basic shelter needs and commands people to be outside rather than inside.

As nice as it is, it really isn't my style though. Don't get me wrong however: were it offered to me I wouldn't turn it down either.
