I regularly was drinking beer and hard sodas at 12, but I had drank alcohol before.

I dont see why a 16 year old cant buy a hard soda or a juice flavored beer. Theyre low in alcohol content, some as low as 1% alcohol. You'd get sick from an overfilled stomach before you get drunk.
