Do more Southern Europeans look convincingly North European or Middle Eastern?

Phoenicians did not leave any influence in Iberia. North Africans neither but saying Phoenicians is laughable.

I explained that the Phoenicians had a few self contained trading colonies along the southern coast of France, Spain and Portugal. The Greeks also maintained a trading presence in all three regions.

Very, very few Iberians show North African phenotypically. The Phoenicians left no footprint to speak since they only had a few small, self contained trading colonies along the southern coasts.

Italians and Greeks show more West Asian.

then they are Atypical iberians, because Iberians have proper european features but with a tan, now if we talk about italians(southerners), greeks/Cypriots and Turks then most of them look at home right in the levant... I would say Spaniards/Portuguese are like Britons that went to the south an got a tan before I even mention them with the likes of Sicilians

Of course i think that southerners look much more northern europeans than middle eastern. The swarthiness of southern euoropeans here is largely overrated, and there are a lot more nordic phenotypes than MENA ones.

its not about the Swarthiness its about their facial features, there are countless of Italian and italian american people that would look right at home in israel than in europe, you cant say the same about Portuguese and Spaniards
