1.-From the the donation receiver's approach: The donor migh look good but he can have serious health issues, physical as well as psychiatric that the offspring can inherit.



2.-From the donor approach: Who's gonna like to be giving away his sperm just to some unknown people to have a child?...Who are those people who want a child?, are they qualified and elegible to become responsible parents?, at least I wouldn't like to put children of my blood in hands of only God knows what kind of people!!!.

Sperm donation isn't as easy as wanking in a cup (or getting laid - which is probably what you are hoping for). There is an intense screening and fertilisation process which needs to be followed.

You have to give your entire (and family's) health history. If there are any congenital illnesses in your family, you're out. If there are any physical deformities in your family, you're out. If there are any serious mental health issues, you're out. They want to know if you smoke or drink. In order for you to donate you will have to stop both as they can lead to decreased sperm cell count, and you're cheating the customer out of healthy, sturdy sperm. In essence, that what she is - a customer. The recipient is paying a lot of money to be fertilised. There is a lot of money at stake here. You will not know who the recipient is, and you will never be provided with this information.

From the recipient's side, she has to go through a process where her menstrual cycle is regulated with hormones and egg production is boosted. Once she is sufficiently fertile, they will extract the eggs from her ovaries. She will be in one room (with her partner most likely) and you will be in the room next doors jerking off into a cup, so that they can come collect your sperm and take it directly to the extracted eggs. They will try to fertilise all eggs, implant them back into the woman and hope for the best.

Unlike eggs, that can be frozen, as far as I'm aware sperm needs to be fresh.

So unless you're fit and healthy, prepared to jerk off in a cup on demand and never know the recipient or your offspring you're good to go.

Sperm donation is irresponsible and highly unethical when you examine the poor policies in place regarding both limitations on number of potential births per donor and legal protections/anonymity of donors.
