28th Anniversary of the Beginning of the Waco Siege

Yesterday was the 28th anniversary of the beginning of the siege.

Today is the 28th Anniversary of the End of the Waco Siege

Video Interval in the Film Person Quoted From 1:20:05 to 1:20:22 Mr. Dick Reavis, author of The Ashes of Waco "(During a negotiating session) ... at one point the FBI asked (a member of the Branch Davidians if) they (had) fire extinguishers. And (Steve) Schneider (, aide to David Koresh,) sends someone to check and comes back with a report that there's only one fire extinguisher in the building. The FBI negotiator's response is "Somebody ought to buy some fire insurance." From 1:24:10 to 1:25:22 Mr. James H. Brannon, attorney for the grandmother of David Koresh "And so I approached and told (the law enforcement officers on the scene) that I was there, and I'd like to speak to the agent(?) in charge; (I said that) I was a lawyer, and I had David Koresh's grandmother with me, and I wanted to see about talking. And ... after a few minutes another one came up to me; he was obviously the guy in charge and was very surly. (He) declined to give me any information at all. So I started to leave, and just as I left and turned my back and started walking toward my van, I heard a voice ... coming from one of those people. I don't know which one (it was), but one of them said ' I hope she has told him goodbye. '
That was the mentality of the people who were guarding the gates.
Those were federal law enforcement authorities. And their attitude was (that) we are going to get revenge against David Koresh, and if that means we have to eliminate all of them in there, that's just fine too.
That was the attitude they had.
