Their skull proportions, nasal index etc are comparable to Nordids just like Gracile Indid types are to Meds. Otherwise, no connection at all.

Yeah, as I said in the OP, it stands for North Indian, just like Nordid stands for Nordic peoples as it is found in high frequencies there but I said that because I thought you were looking for some connection between Nord-Indid and Nordid morphology.

That's what I asked. There are other phenotypes that have skull proportions, nasal index etc comparable to Nordids so this label sounds like it was invented by some pseudo-nazi like Coon trying to say they descend from some imaginary Aryans, like Coon's Nordid Berbers lol

Dogras and most Paharis (Garwhalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Nepali Khas etc) are predominantly Nord-Indid as well as Dardic Indo-Aryan peoples (Kashmiris, Shina etc)

A lot of upper class to middle class South Indians look no different than North Indians. I think social class to some extent plays a role in phenotype.

True, the "western Nord-Indid" type usually occurs there, the "Southern" one I posted is very rare and the individuals in the OP are from isolated tribal groups that live in the mountain, taken from an anthropology book. The most frequent existing type of Nord-Indid occurs there in higher castes, while I've never really seen the Southern version I posted in a person TBH.

Class does play a role, higher castes have higher proportions of these phenotypes than lower castes, but is not exclusive to any group. Regional geography however plays the dominant role, populations close to the Himalayas are predominantly Nord-Indid like Kashmiris or Paharis while it occurs at a plurality in Punjabis, Rajasthanis etc.

Good thread Lot of misinformation and misuse of the term, Nord Indid was coined for than North of British Empire which Pred consisted of Punjab/Kashmir and Hindukush(thats why Pashtun/Kalash also initially were lumped in depending on anthropologist but under "rosy white" variant section) and lumped it under greater East Med branch. It shouldnt be confused with current(most) classic North India which is always situated aroung ganges and the standard pheno there is Gangid,
