Albanian in Novi Sad beaten up just for speaking Albanian in public

Albanian teenager beaten up by a group of hooligans in the streets after talking to his mother on the phone

An 18 year old Albanian teenager from Novi Sad has been assaulted by two unknown perpetrators in one of the public streets of Novi Sad simply for speaking Albanian with his mother on the phone.

After the youth finished his conversation, two assailants not older than 25 years old described by the assaulted teen, approached to him asking if he had a cigarette, he replied that he didn't smoke and the next thing he knew were kicks and punches hurled towards him for several minutes until the youth lay almost consciousness, asking for a bypassed to call the ambulance, where he was transported and went under intensive medical care for several hours.

'I am shocked' the youth says, I have spoken many times freely Albanian in my native city of Bujan and no body had ever assaulted me, this was really surprising, how can you just start beating a guy up just because he speaks a foreign language??

He continues 'There are many Serbs in Pristina that speak Serbian loudly and no one is harming them, they even hold public concerts and nothing like this ever happened'

This is the numerous attack on a non Serbian individual after the last attack on a Hungarian boy who was beaten up in the multicultural city of Novi Sad for listening to Hungarian music.
