This graph includes rows from the file "Global25 datasheet modern scaled" for almost all populations that are native to the area of Europe, with the exception of Nenetses, Kalmyks, and Kazakhs. It also includes the 200 populations closest to Chuvashes and the 200 populations closest to Italians. I measured the distance to Italians based on the average coordinates of all individual Italian samples, so there is no single Italian subpopulation with a distance of zero to Italians.

Anyway, the closest non-European populations to Chuvashes are Turkmens and Siberian Tatars, who are at a distance of .14-.15. On the other hand, Italians are at a distance of about .04-.05 to Ashkenazi, .05-.1 to most other Jews, a bit over .1 to Levantines, Turks, and Caucasians, and less than .1 to Balkan Turks and Roma_Barcelona. Italians are even closer to Farsi than Chuvashes are to any non-European population. Also Italians are closer to Iraqis than to the purest whites like Estonians and Latvians.

Chuvash are Castizoid churkas. They are not White by default.

the term White is related to Western European civilization of last centuries, therefore between Italians and Chuvash it's Italians for sure. it's not related exclusively to looks.

the same way I don't consider Eastern Europeans to be White from this point of view - closest to White or sometimes considered White are the non-Orthodox ones, because of Catholic culture.

so in these regards I don't view myself as White, but rather as Eurasian, broadly and locally as post-Ottoman post-Communist bloc.

There is nothing wrong with such questions. After all, this is a forum about anthropology. In any anthropological studies (books), you will find a comparison of eye color or hair color of different peoples with each other.

Another thing is that due to the rather peculiar composition of participants in such forums, such questions can be misinterpreted by them and such topics turn into garbage.

Note that this topic is already six years old and only 4 pages.

A question like who is lighter Bulgarians or Spaniards in the first hour would have typed 20 pages full of garbage and insults and turned into a nonsense because the Spaniards and Bulgarians let's just say are not the smartest people in the world.
