I do not know if this is 100% correct though.Other members might tell.For those who do not understandne verse is in hungarian,the other in finnish,and so on.It serves to demonstrate the similarity between the two languages.

My point was this:Hungarians are Finno-Ugric people,their language is closest to Finnish and Estonian,and genetically they are the closest to their neighbors,mostly.So central euros.And I backet it up,bringing evidence.Although there is a lot more evidence than this out there,I am by no means an expert,and I am sure other members here who are more knowledgeable on this matter can explain it better.But the turanist theory is just a fantasy.There might be a connection among Turkic people,Turks,Kazakhs etc I am not denying that,since I have little knowledge of those people.But Hungarians are Central European and Finno-Ugric,linguistically,ethnically,genetically and culturally.That was my point.

Many Turanists like to go on and on about "da turkic roots of hungarian". When in fact all studies show that the most all words shared by the Uralic languages are in the very core of the Hungarian Then they go defensive and start babbling about the Turkic loanwords that actually exist in Hungarian. Hungarian would still not be Turkic then, it would be Slavo-Germanic-Latin if we classified language by loanwords and that is plain silly.

As for genetics: "Turanic hablogroups" are practically absent in Hungary

being Finno-Ugric makes them not one of your Germanics, you know that right ? youre just neighboors of them, i also admit that they are strongly assimilated in indo-european sea, for using them to benefits of Western Euro. and still since we count 2015 this process is not ended. but for gods sake , many real Magyar youth still keeps his soul, this is why many Turks feeling respect to them not because of being relative or etc.

Got it from wiki and basically it says the same as you.I love when fantasy theories are proven wrong by science.Hungarians are euro,very much.Deal with it.If they aren't,then finnish aren't either,which is plain stupid.If what I read is correct,turanism in Hungary was invented/promoted/whatnot by a guy of armenian origin,and many hungarian jews promoted turanism during WW2.That says a lot.It's just political propaganda/fantasy,and sounds silly at best.

I have very distant Hungarian(and Finnish)ancestry,so it sounds good that you do respect them.But on this whole using thing,let's not get into this,because probably ottomans caused the greatest damage to Hungary,ever.This can be argued,and you might counter it with Trianon,but who knows,Trianon might never have happened IF hungarians were never forced to enter into a monarchy with the austrians,and they maybe they never would've been defeated and forced into a monarchy by the austrians if they were stronger,and it could go on and on and on.I also respect the turks,especially Ataturk for how he handled Gallipoli.We lost many men that day,just like you,and one of my relatives was there too.But that is off-topic.
And yes,I know they are not germanics.They aren't turkic either,they are just unique.Like celts aren't germanics nor latins.
