The thing is though that authorities stealing European children is not something typically Finnish but it is being done all over the EU by the authorities and this will probably include Greece itself. In that respect your case however dreadful and unfortunate is not unique.... which makes it probably even worse.

It personally always reminds me of those actions taken during the Soviet era in Eastern Europe. Child theft, child abduction in order to alienate them from non-mainstream parents and give them a "ideologically sound education".

So far we respected finnish hospitality and customs, even if we didn't have to.

Not really Asega, they never even demanded it in the first place. And second, it is reasonable and logical to respect this which is equal or higher and better than what you have. Respect is earned, not demanded. And a higher culture and civilization, like ours which is based in science, reason, justice, art and everything that progresses the mankind has already earned this respect. People freely gave their respect cause they recognized and welcomed the light of civilization, themselves.

As it is well known, Hellenes are very sociable people and also very philoxenous. Due to tourism, we are already used to come in contact with other cultures and understand that people are different. Unfortunately, the low level females who have infested with their xenophobia, hatred and bigotry the 'social' services are incapable even of this basic respect.

I have been explained by many finns, here, that those females are indeed phobic and derranged and somehow have formed the... 'belief' that they alone will 'save' everyone else's children, who don't comply with their own ideolepsy of how a child should be raised. Unluckily, for them, they have mostly failed to demonstrate in their own lives these supposed claims, cause none of them has a healthy marriage life, or a healthy amorous life and most are childless too.

It is strange of them to have such demands on running other people's lives, especially successful ones, while they are incapable of putting their own beds in order, or tidying up their horribly filthy houses....

No one welcomes pimps. Particularly when those pimps are pathetic failures of females, who having failed in their own lives attempt to run things on others' lives...

Maybe Hellenes will choose to behave in a finnish manner, to make Finns who live in Greece feel at home. One can start with the "go back to your country" polite phrase. And I am sure that we can use some more finnish 'customs' to make these people feel more at home. Maybe ban them liquer use at non-shopping hours?

You have to understand that being philoxenous is a very important thing. And to always remember that your own country's people may live at other people's countries and wish to live well. Hatred and bigotry doesn't do anyone good. Hellenes have been so understanding, that there are even finnish language schools in places where many Finns live. Those language schools are supported by our taxes.

How do you think that most Hellen taxpayers feel to hear that Hellen chilrden in Finland are forced away from their own language, while they pay for finnish kids in their country to learn finnish?

while in the same way showing nothing but contempt for your Finnish hosts because I remember those same words coming from the mouths of Muslims in my country.

It has a great potential in setting off some Finns.

Second. I agree with your notion that those "social workers" are usually people that don't have a stable life themselves yet make any attempt to penetrate other's peoples lifes and arrange them in accordance to their own views. I have seen the effects of it myself and it devastated a part of my own childhood. But I wonder what could be done now in confronting the Finnish authorities and retrieving your child. After that I would advise you and the family to return to Greece.. if after you seem to feel contempt for the Finnish way of life (which is unfounded and unjust).
