Let these words be as sand in the cogwheels of reason,
as a malign disturbance in the sustainment of universe,
and let each quark of this degenerated microcosm
stand as a citadel of cold and deliberate hatred.
Let there come a glorious error in the patterns of the world.
Let the tainted foundations of reality crumble
and let us hope nothing comes afterwards,
so the gravest of mistakes we all blindly wander in
will finally come to an end.

Bart gets suspended from school and so is transfered to Catholic school with the typical evil-nun. After misbehaving in class, he is sent out of the room. There he meets an Irish Catholic priest who talks to him and explains why he became a priest (after a drunken brawl with his father, he sees a vision of St Peter who tells him to become a priest and then turns back into a street-lamp ). He gives Bart a comic of Old Testament stories etcetera which appeals to Bart.
One thing leads to another and Bart really digs the whole Catholic thing (including speaking Latin at grace before dinner !). Marge wants Homer to put a stop to it but Homer is enticed with offers of free-pancakes and also wants to convert.
So Marge, being a Protestant and wanting the whole family to go to the same Heaven, wants to put an end to it . One thing leads to another with the Protestants and Catholics fighting for Bart's soul. In the end Bart says "no" to both of them and at the end of the show there's a sectarian battle between two religions in the far future founded by Bart .
