"Grupi Rozafati"
"Grupi Rozafati" is an Albanian dance group, whose heart is found in the state of New York. This group together represents dancers whose parents, family, and ancestors came from Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. "Grupi Rozafati" founded 30 years ago has performed mostly for entertainment than for competition. Today, "Grupi Rozafati" dancers range from 5 - 22 years of age. "Grupi Rozafati" is sponsored by the Mother Teresa Center of Our Lady of Shkodra, the Albanian Catholic Church in Westchester, New York. Under the direction of choreographer Angjelina Nika, wife of well-known Albanian singer Gezim Nika, as the choreographer, the group has worked hard over the many years to preserve and teach others of the culture of all Albanian regions.
