The Brecon Beacons near me are the closest thing to wilderness in my area. Haven't been there for ages, but the place has some fantastic scenery.

    This isn't me btw!

Not so much the wilderness as my "backyard". One of our back fields.

    The creek out back.

It really is beautiful up there. The photo was taken in the Bavarian Alps in Ostallgäu near the town of Füssen. I'd definitely recommend visiting it if you ever get the chance, one of the nicest places I've ever seen. The good thing about hiking around there, too, is that there doesn't seem to be an excessive amount of other people up there with you (at least when I went) as most are attracted to Neuschwanstein up

What lovely pictures, everyone!!! Here are some shots of the Badlands in South Dakota. We were there last year in August. It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to and I would be happy to go back this summer, if we could afford it:

As soon as spring comes, and the snow is gone, I'll take some pictures of the prairie to post.

Not exactly wilderness, but this video shows a few of the many landscapes in my area. The video starts out in my town and moves south.
